AlHamdallah Opens the First Government “Unified Window” in Jerusalem
Prime Minister Rami AlHamdallah opened Yesterday, Wednesday, the Unified Window Office in Biddo Town to the West of Jerusalem Governorate.
The opening was attended by the governor of Jerusalem; Adnan Husseini, Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Allam Moussa, Minister of Transport; Samih Tubeileh, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Arabic and Islamic funds; Jawad Naji, Mayor of Biddo; Salem Abu Eid, Representative of the US Agency for Development; Jonathan Kamin, and a number of officials and legal persons.
AlHamdallah said, “The importance of our work in improving government services and ensuring that all of our people have access to them increases when we talk about our people in the endangered areas, and the areas affected by the settlements and the expansion and annexation wall. Therefore, we work according to the available possibilities to enhance the steadfastness of our people in Jerusalem in the face of the occupation and its plans.”
The Prime Minister carried the greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas and his appreciation of national efforts responsible for institutionalizing services provided to people, and ensuring their sustainability and development of quality. He pointed out that this office is the first unified window that combines a wide and integrated network of government services of the ministries of Interior, Justice, Telecommunications, and Transport, which will benefit about sixty thousand citizens, in sixteen localities.
He added “The extreme importance of this window is not only because it is located in the province of besieged Jerusalem, but also because it is based on benefitting from a Post Office to be a vital platform for service for the area of west Jerusalem.”
AlHamdallah renewed his assertion that government services in Palestine witness a continuous and rapid development, especially with regard to the quickness and completion of the transactions without complications, reduction of the time and effort, and reduction of the financial burden citizens had to deal with in the past. He also stressed that providing good services to the citizens is what directs the work of the government.
Finally, AlHamdallah said, “Today, as we celebrate the opening of the unified window in Biddo, we affirm that we will generalize this important attempt and move it to other locations, and we will open new windows soon, benefitting from post offices.”
