Ramallah - The Palestinian Economic Council for Development and Reconstruction (PECADAR) signed an agreement to build and renovate a rehabilitation and treatment building for drug addicts in the town of Jaba / Al-Quds governorate, with Abu Zaher & Co. for General Contracting.
Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs in Pecdar, Engineer Raed Anabtawi, said the project will be the largest treatment center for drug addicts in Palestine. It will be implemented for the Huda Society for the treatment of drug addicts and funded by the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah for about $ 500,000.
He added that the importance of the project lies in the need to provide assistance to young men who have fallen into the clutches of addiction to get out of the drug tunnel to normal life.
He pointed out that the center will implemented on an area of 1200 square meters spread over four floors, including gyms, food, library, clinics and others, and will accommodate about 70 patients. It includes a section for the treatment of women.
Engineer Anabtawi said that the project will be implemented in six months.
