During a meeting with a Jordanian parliamentary delegation headed by MP Yahya Al-Saud, with the presence of the Jordanian ambassador Khaled Shawabkeh, Shtayyeh stressed the importance of strengthening Palestinian-Jordanian contacts at all official, parliamentary and popular levels.

Shtayyeh briefed the delegation on the Palestinian national reconciliation process, pointing out that reconciliation is not an option but a Palestinian national constant, and can not be failed in any way, calling for mobilizing moral and material support for the success of reconciliation and overcoming obstacles.

Shatayyeh pointed out that there are real challenges to be addressed in the atmosphere of reconciliation easier and more effective than the environment of division, geographic and political fragmentation.

Shtayyeh said that the vision of the political leadership for reconciliation is a comprehensive vision, so that it can achieve the aspirations of the Palestinian people and meet their aspirations and needs.

Shtayyeh added that there is no peace partner in Israel, and the Israeli government is intensifying its settlement procedures and is working to kill the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state, noting that the American side has not yet submitted any projects or political ideas.
