Mohammad Shtayyeh: A decision by the President to transfer the Guest House to a National Library


 


Ramallah - President of the Palestinian Economic Council for Development and Reconstruction "Pecdar" D. Mohammad Shtayyeh said that The President decided to turn the Surda Guest House into a national library. Shtayyeh pointed out that pecdar began to implement the guesthouse five years ago in Ramallah and Al-Bireh as a place for the president to accommodate the official foreign delegations to Palestine. However, the President considered that the palace should be used for the benefit of the public by turning it into a large national library supervised by a Board of Trustees.

Dr. Shtayyeh said that Pecdar has fully completed the works inside the palace and is currently working on outdoor landscaping, which includes parks and helipads. The area is 4700 square meters on an area of ​​27,000 square meters in the Surda area north of Ramallah.


He stressed that the palace will be one of the most important modern architectural features in Palestine in terms of aesthetic design and possibilities available in it, as the design was adopted by the architectural style of Islam and carried out by the efforts of young Palestinian engineers; whose work deserves to be praised.
