RAMALLAH  682017 Wafa- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received on Sunday the annual report of the Palestinian Council for Development and Reconstruction (PECDAR) for the year 2016.

This came after Mr. President has received the Chairman of the Board of Directors- Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh- and members of the Council at the headquarters in Ramallah.

Shatyyeh briefed the president on the highlights of the annual report and the achievements of pecdar and the implementation of the goals set for the development of the work of the Palestinian Council. He also briefed the President on the progress of a number of outstanding projects such as the Khalid Al Hassan Cancer Center and the Hugo Chavez Eye Hospital.

He pointed out that the number of projects that have been and are being implemented is 56 projects, which are various projects, including support programs for Palestinian universities and the establishment of the Palestine Academy for gifted students, as well as projects supporting Al-Quds, which are implemented in a variety of fields including: education sector, rehabilitation of buildings, women and youth empowerment, sports, as well as the cultural and social sectors.

For his part, the president praised the great efforts made by PECDAR as a longstanding Palestinian institution in the field of development and reconstruction of the Palestinian land.
