The Governor of Palestine Invites Scientific Institutions and Universities to Run for the Islamic Development Bank Awards

Shtayyeh called on the institutions to fill out the nomination form to represent Palestine among hundreds of Arab and Muslim candidates. He pointed out that Palestine has received many awards throughout the issuance of 16 awards started in 2002.  

He explained that the nomination for the annual prize is available to private, governmental, scientific, academic, research and developmental institutions working in the Arab and Islamic countries, which are the 56 members of the bank.  

The Bank aims to recognize and reward the outstanding models and works of these institutions.


The prize is awarded in three categories: scientific or technical contribution in the field of economy and social development, the outstanding contribution to engineering, agriculture, medicine, biotechnology, fiber optics, physical sciences, pharmaceuticals, information technology, alternative energy sources, technology Microelectronics and microelectronics in the industry, and the third category includes distinguished scientific research institutions in the least developed member countries.


The prize is worth US $100,000 for the winners of each category, as well as a souvenir and a certificate of appreciation.

He called on institutions wishing to apply to fill out the award form on the website of the Islamic Development Bank www.isdb.org, follow the guiding steps on the site or obtain a paper copy of the application form by requesting it from the Governor of Palestine’s office at the Islamic Bank in Ramallah. The forms should be submitted no later than 20/11/2017.
