Israeli Rejection of Demands for the Development of the Palestinian Economy And Disclaims of Declared Obligations
Translated by Sabrin Qadah
The Israeli government rejected all Palestinian demands for the development of the Palestinian economy and declared its refusal to implement commitments it had promised.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeina, announced that the Israeli government rejected all Palestinian demands for the development of the Palestinian economy, primarily the implementation of the obligations related to the transfer of civil and security responsibilities in areas C to the full Palestinian jurisdiction, the revision of the Paris Agreement and the construction of an airport.
According to Abu Rudeina, the Israeli government’s announced measures to increase electricity and water for the industrial zone in Jericho, and to help establish industrial zones in Tarqumiya and Hebron, or to extend the work on the King Hussein Bridge (Karama), are steps that have been approved in advance, but they do not even fulfill the minimum requirements for the development of the Palestinian economy.
