PECDAR Concludes a course in Developing Small and Medium Enterprises in Amman

The aim of the training, which was run by the expert at the Arab Planning Institute, Dr. Ehab Mqaballah, is to acquaint participants with the stages of preparing a strategy for small and medium-sized enterprises and the necessary solutions to achieve this, and to introduce the concept of small and medium enterprises, their importance, divisions, characteristics, obstacles to growth, In addition to related governmental and non-governmental institutions in the financing and development of these projects and their working mechanisms.
The program also aimed to enable participants to understand the size and dimensions of the funding problem for SMEs, to enhance their skills in addressing it and to view and analyze the credit market of these projects. Training is part of a program package implemented by the Arab Planning Institute in Kuwait for the Palestinian Economic Development and Reconstruction Council (PECDAR), which aims at enhancing the skills of governmental and non-governmental employees in various development areas.
The training was attended by representatives of the Ministry of National Economy, Social Development, Local Government, Agriculture, Labor, Awqaf, Ramallah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Risk Prevention Fund, the Central Statistics Agency, the Palestinian Development Fund, the Palestinian Investment Fund, Prisoners' affairs union, the Arab and Islamic Arab Bank, the Supreme Council for Sport and Youth, the Monetary Authority, the Qalqiliya Governorate, the Women's Fund, the Ibda'a Foundation and the Palestinian Telecommunications Company.
