Signing a Palestinian-Jordanian Memorandum of Understanding on Agricultural Credit

The MoU was signed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Palestinian facilitator of the Agricultural Lending Institution, Abdullah Lahlouh, and the Jordanian side by the Director General of Jordan Agricultural Credit Institution, Mohammed Issa Al-Hayari.
The two parties agreed to enhance cooperation in various fields, including Islamic lending and financing procedures, lending systems, collection and follow-up of loans, in addition to the employment of information technology and computerized systems in the field of developing credit and collectivity services, capacity building, attracting specialized cadres and exchanging experiences and visits in the field of finance and agricultural lending.
The two parties also agreed to form a joint technical committee of experts and technicians whose functions would be to follow up with the implementation of this note.
Lahlouh stressed the importance of signing the memorandum of understanding with the Jordan Agricultural Credit Corporation and benefiting from the country's long experience in the field of agricultural lending. The Foundation has a pioneering and developmental role in financing the agricultural sector as the only official authority in Jordan specialized in financing agricultural projects.
For his part, Mohammed al-Hayari said that the signing of this memorandum comes as a true translation of the distinguished brotherly relations between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the State of Palestine.
