Samir Abdel Hadi .. A Prominent Palestinian Engineer in the Arabian Gulf

Samir Naim Abdel Hadi was born in Jerusalem on 7 May 1942. He studied at the Friends School for Boys in Ramallah and graduated in 1959. He then joined the American University of Beirut and graduated in 1964 with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Between 1964-1968, he worked as a site engineer and then chief engineer at a contracting company in Tripoli, Libya. Then, during 1964-1972, he worked as an executive engineer, then head of engineers in the Arab Contracting Company and then head of design department in the Libyan Ministry of Housing.
He moved to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in 1972 to work for the Engineering Union (Khatib & Alami) as Regional Manager for the Arabian Gulf region.
In 1975 he was appointed as a member of the partners' council and in 1977 he was appointed general manager of the company in the Gulf region. Etihad Engineering company (Khatib & Alami) is one of the largest consulting companies operating in the region.
.In 2000, he became a member of the Board of Directors, and in 2003, he was elected Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Council
At the beginning of 2011, he became Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors.
After his retirement in 2013, Abdul Hadi dedicated his time to charitable and voluntary work, where he serves as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Resource Development Committee of the Foundation for Cooperation, the Board of Trustees of the Palestine International Research Foundation in Jordan and the International Foundation for Arab Students in Jordan.
