Translated by Sabrin Qadah
This came during Hlileh’s and members of the executive management of PADICO meeting at the Movenpick Hotel with a large delegation of students from the John F. Kennedy School of Government Studies and the Faculty of Business Administration at Harvard University, within the program of university students’ annual visits to Palestine, sponsored by PADICO company, to closely learn about the Palestinian political, economic and social reality.
Hlileh also gave a lecture on the Palestinian Economic reviewing the efforts of various public and private entities in the provision of an economic environment and a sustainable development that are supportive of projects so as to fit the global market and its requirements to expand the investor base, in spite of the obstacles imposed by Israel in front of economic activity, and its control over natural resources, crossing points and imports in terms of quality and quantity.
Hlileh pointed out that the Palestinian market has been witnessing a continuous presence of foreign investment in the recent years, which is what makes it an economic environment that has various and modern opportunities that benefit the Palestinian economy and investors at the same time.
Hlileh presented "PADICO’s” achievements and its journey in the construction and development process, and its role in the establishment of areas and strategic projects that will attract investment, which, in return, will provide many opportunities to combat unemployment and poverty rates.
He said that "PADICO" has made a quantum leap in the Palestinian economy through its subsidiaries and associate companies, and through projects that include most of the agricultural, industrial, tourism and service investment sectors, most notably "Nakheel Falastin Company for Agricultural Investment, Rabeyet al-Quds Project and Bawwabit Areeha," in addition to its core companies PRICO, JADICO and Paltel.
