Discussion of Ways to Promote Agricultural Cooperation between India and Palestine

Agriculture Minister, Sufian Sultan, discussed with the Indian Minister of Agriculture and Parliamentary Affairs, on Saturday, the ways to promote agricultural cooperation between the two countries, and the implementation of joint research and agricultural projects that would contribute to the improvement and development of the agricultural sector in the two countries.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Palestine to India Adnan abul- Hija.
On the sidelines of the "International Ministerial Conference on Agricultural Technology and Rural Development" held in India, Sultan met a number of officials including a number of ministers participating in the conference, the head of the Indian National University, in addition to a number of Arab ambassadors, and briefed them on the attacks of the Israeli occupation and settlers on Palestinian agricultural sector, and discussed with them ways to strengthen the steadfastness of the Palestinian farmers on their land, especially with the high frequency of Israeli attacks against farmers and their lands.
The minister met with the Indian Deputy of government agricultural insurance company, and discussed with him the exchange of experiences and ways of cooperation in the field of agricultural insurance, in the presence of the President of the Fund for the prevention of risks and agricultural insurance, Nasser Aljagub, and his accompanying delegation.
On the other hand, the minister Sultan met with the Jordanian counterpart Khaled Hnaifat in Amman, and discussed with him ways to support the Palestinian agricultural sector, and the expansion of agricultural trade between the two countries.
This visit is expected to result in the signing of several agricultural agreements between Palestine and India on the one hand, and between Palestine and Jordan on the other.
