Translated by Sabrin Qadah
The President of Al-Quds University, Emad Abu kishik, and the Palestinians scientist Dr. Adnan Majali, signed an agreement to establish the first and largest medical research center in Palestine, and the first in the Arab world during a ceremony organized by the university in the presence of Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Ahmed Qurei, president’s deputies, faculty members and researchers.
According to a press release from Al-Quds University, this center is a quantum leap in the Palestinian Higher Education for being a scientific incubator for Palestinian researchers, where it will convert it to products that would contribute to the Palestinian economy, and promise a true beginning to raise the therapeutic content level with Palestinian hands and ideas.
The Palestinian scientist Magali pointed out that his desire to establish this medical research institution at the University of Jerusalem stemmed from his belief in his duty towards his homeland Palestine to contribute to the development of the Palestinian economy through improving the educational level of young people and developing their skills as a recognition of the University of Jerusalem in particular, which embraced him in his early scientific research path until he eventually arrived to Al-Quds University and began his way of medical and non-medical scientific success.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, outstanding researchers at the University of Jerusalem were honored.
