Palestinian Russian Agreement to Discuss Business Cooperation in April

The Minister of National Economy Abeer Odeh and the Ambassador of the federal Russia to the State of Palestine Haidar Rashid Aghanin, agreed on Thursday to hold the second Palestinian government committee for trade and economic cooperation in the Russian capital Moscow during the month of April.
This comes from what has been agreed upon in the final joint statement of the Joint Intergovernmental Committee, which was held for the first time in the city of Ramallah on March 15 of 2016, and to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries as a translation of memoranda of understanding and exchange programs, and to sign bilateral agreements between them.
Odeh said we "look forward to the implementation of the understandings included in the protocol of cooperation in addition to the application of a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of economic zones and technology parks, and the Convention on the investment, in addition to discussing further development of the Palestinian economy tools”.
The minister added, "we are counting on Russia in supporting the Palestinian cause at all levels, and especially in light of developments and changes taking place in the region, which makes it imperative for everyone to support the efforts of the president to end the Israeli occupation, establish a fully sovereign Palestinian state and support the Palestinian economy.
The minister put the ambassador in the form of efforts by the Palestinian government to develop the Palestinian economy, despite policies and procedures of the Israeli occupation that shackle the national economy and impede the economic development and the Palestinian endeavor to enhance the steadfastness of the citizens, in addition to the obligations of the government towards the citizens.
In turn, the Russian ambassador stressed his country's support of the Palestinian cause, the efforts of the Russian leadership to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and their readiness to provide the necessary support to the Palestinian economy, praising the efforts of the Palestinian government for the development of the national economy.
