D.Shtayyeh: Start of the Second Phase of Construction of Chavez Eye Hospital”

President of the Economic Council for Development- PECDAR D. Mohammed Shtayyeh, signed on Monday an agreement to start finishing works of the hospital, "Hugo Chavez" for eye surgery and ophthalmology in Turmus'ayya in the town of Ramallah and al-Bireh, with the director of Brothers Contracting Co., Bashir Hanani.
Shtayyeh explained during the signing meeting that about 85% of the bone-building work was terminated, and work in the finishing phase will directly be started with, which will cost about $ 7 million. Brothers Contracting Company was decided to implement them.
He said that PECDAR has taken on the challenge to complete the project in record time, and this is what was in the first phase as it completed about 85% a few months after President Mahmoud Abbas laid the foundation stone at the site.
He added that the project, in addition to being the first specialized eye hospital in Palestine, it is also gaining importance as it is located in Turmus'ayya outside the city of Ramallah, in the context of rural development.
He pointed out that the bone-building phase was nearing completion at a cost of $ 2.8 million, and carried out by the Shaltaf Company for public pledges after awarded the tender.
"PECDAR" supervised the implementation of the hospital project on a land area of 15 acres donated by the town of Turmus'ayya, while the State of Venezuela has donated $ 15 million to fully build and equip it, with an area of 8100 square meters spread over four floors.
