The scholarship program for master's degree in Science and Technology
For the academic year 2017-2018
Governor of the Islamic Development Bank for Palestine Dr. Mohammed Shtayyeh is pleased to announce the opening of the Bank’s scholarship program for a master's degree in science and technology for the academic year (2017-2018m). These scholarships will be provided to winning applicants starting from September 2017.
The program provides scholarships for promising students in disciplines that would promote development such as science and technology, engineering, agriculture and medicine. In the framework of the scholarship, selected candidates will be able to study for a master's degree for a period of two years in one of the bank’s Member State institutions. A scholarship for a master's degree in statistics and associated disciplines such as Applied Demography and econometrics was also allocated.
The scholarship will cover the tuition fees, the cost of living, medical treatment besides clothes, books and computer as well as participation in conferences and research.
Candidates who want to apply for the program must meet the following conditions:
* Not to exceed the age of 30 years.
* Must have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree in Science and Technology with a “good” average.
* To be nominated for the scholarship by a scientific, academic or research institutions.
* To be committed to return to Palestine after graduation.
* To not be getting a scholarship from any other institutions.
* To be medically fit and ready to make the necessary medical tests after he being chosen.
Applicants of the science of statistics and related materials must meet the following additional conditions:
* must have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree in statistics and related fields.
* must have a professional experience of no less than one year and must have worked in a permanent position in the field of statistics or related fields in one of the specialized national institutions.
The applicant can obtain the application form from the Office of the Governor of the Islamic Development Bank / Palestine, or can also be downloaded from the Islamic Development Bank site (http: www.isdb.org).
Should the candidates interested in applying for the scholarship fill the scholarship application form carefully and send it with the required documents to the Office of His Excellency the Governor of the Islamic Development Bank no later than January 31, 2017. Any requests sent directly to the IDB headquarters in Jeddah will not be considered. Applications should be sent to the following address:
