PCBS: Rise in Price Indices for Construction Costs
- Increase in the Construction Cost Index for Residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Residential buildings reached 102.39 with an increase of 0.35% in the West Bank* during November compared with October 2016 (base year 2013=100).
- The Construction Cost Index for Residential buildings increased due to the increase in the prices of raw materials by 0.57%, and rental of equipment by 0.30%. At the same time, labor wages remained stable during November 2016 compared with the previous month.
- Increase in the Construction Cost Index for Non-residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Non-residential buildings reached 102.56 with an increase of 0.38% in the West Bank* during November compared with October 2016 (base year 2013=100).
- The Construction Cost Index for Non-residential buildings increased due to the increase in the prices of raw materials by 0.60%, and rental of equipment by 0.24%. At the same time, labor wages remained stable during November 2016 compared with the previous month.
- Increase in the Construction Cost Index for Skeleton Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Skeleton buildings reached 99.75 with an increase of 0.74% in the West Bank* during November compared with October 2016 (base year 2013=100).
- The Construction Cost Index for Skeleton buildings increased due to the increase in the prices of raw materials by 1.14%, and rental of equipment slightly increased by 0.03%. At the same time, labor wages remained stable during November 2016 compared with the previous month.
- Increase in the Road Cost Index (RCI)
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 107.96 with an increase of 1.01% in the West Bank* during November compared with October 2016 (base month December 2008=100).
The overall Road Cost Index increased due to the increase in operating costs of equipment & maintenance by 2.12%, the prices of raw materials by 1.27%, and rental of equipment by 1.02%. At the same time, labor wages remained stable during November 2016 compared with the previous month.
- Increase in the Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI)
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 110.98 with an increase of 0.76% in the West Bank* during November compared with October 2016 (base month January 2010=100).
- Water Reservoirs Cost Index reached 102.72 with an increase of 1.10%, and Water Networks Cost Index reached 114.73 with an increase of 0.62% during November 2016 compared with the previous month.
- Increase in the Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI)
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 108.32 with an increase of 0.15% in the West Bank* during November compared with October 2016 (base month January 2010=100).

* The data of West Bank doesn't include that part of Jerusalem which was annexed forcefully by Israel following its occupation of the West Bank in 1967.
