Odeh Discusses Developments in the Industrial Jericho with a Japanese Official

The Minister of National Economy Abeer Odeh and Japanese Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Okoro Zogaoroa discussed the current economic conditions, joint projects and project progress in agro-industrial city of Jericho in particular.
The minister Odeh pointed out during the meeting, which was attended by the Japanese Ambassador to the State of Palestine Takeshi Okubo, that there was recently the opening of the road between agricultural and industrial city of Jericho and the city of Jericho, which will serve the Jericho agro-industrial city. In addition to that, the road will be part of the street that will connect the industrial Agricultural city with Road 90, which facilitates the entry and exit process of goods to and from the industrial city in the future.
The Minister stressed that the ministry is making all efforts to provide facilities for investors in the city, pointing out that the Palestinian government is currently working on providing operating and services incentives for the city.
The Minister has put the Japanese Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry and the accompanying delegation in the picture of current economic conditions, constraints and Israeli measures that restrict movement of people and goods, referring to the ministry's vision and its efforts to provide opportunities and incentives for investors to reduce these obstacles.
The minister also demanded, the Japanese delegation the need to put pressure on Israel to agree to the implementation of the commercial corridor between the city of Jericho and the State of Jordan, which will be established to facilitate the import and export operations and facilitate the movement of goods, pointing to the need for the Japanese side to support these efforts through a peace and prosperity corridor project.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of Japan praised the efforts made by the ministry and the Saudi Industrial Property Authority for the advancement of agricultural and industrial city of Jericho in particular, and its efforts in the development of national economy in general.
