Australia Shows Readiness for the Development of Palestinian Economic Relations

Australian Minister of Trade, Tourism and investment, Stephen Saybo, said that his country is ready to support and improve the economic situation in Palestine and to increase trade between the two countries
This came during a meeting between Minister of National Economy, Abeer Odeh, the minister Stephen Saybo, and the delegation accompanying him, on Sunday in Ramallah.
During the meeting, odeh urged Saybo for his country to invest in tourism and productive sectors in Palestine, especially in technological infrastructure and industrial development of the agricultural sector.
In a press release, Odeh drew attention that the industrial areas the Palestinian government is working on their implementation offer attractive opportunities for foreign investment being strategically placed and distinctive in terms of ease of access to regional markets. This came in light of Palestine signing several free trade agreements with the European Union and the Arab countries, as they also provide skilled work force.
The minister stressed that the investment environment in Palestine is special and attracting in light of the Palestinian government, represented by the Ministry of National Economy, continuation to create a legislative and legal environment governing the economy through the implementation and the establishment of industrial cities that will contribute to supporting small and medium enterprises, and will increase the volume of trade with Outside world .
The minister expressed the hope to increase the volume of trade exchange between Palestine and Australia through granting Palestinian products preferential tariff treatment while entering the Australian market that is granted to the least developed countries in order to promote Palestinian exports.
