The Holding of the National Team’s First Meetings for Development

Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah chaired today Monday, at his office in Ramallah, the first meeting of the national team for economic development, which was formed by a decree from President Mahmoud Abbas, to follow up and implement the recommendations of the MAS Economic Conference, in the framework of achieving national economic development objectives.
Alhamdallah stressed that “supporting national product, reducing unemployment and promoting investment is a top priority for the group's work, noting that the government provides all facilities through the issuance of legislations and laws stimulating investment in many sectors, in spite of occupation obstacles.
The team members, each according to their competence, presented the most important plans and recommendations for the advancement of the national economy and acceleration of the development process, based on the principle of partnership between the public and private sectors. It was agreed during the meeting to form a sub-committee and task teams to study the recommendations of the "MAS" Conference, and submit proposals and plans to implement it as soon as possible.
