Shtayyeh Announces the Names Accepted for IDB’s Masters Scholarships

Islamic Development Bank’s governor of Palestine, D. Mohammed Shtayyeh, announced the names of all students who obtained scholarships for Masters in Science and Technology provided by the Islamic Development Bank for the academic year 2016/2017, namely: Manar Sweti majoring in environmental engineering, Bassam Abu Nahel majoring in radiology and Islam al-aydi majoring in microbiology, all from the Gaza Strip.

Shtayyeh congratulated the three students on their success to obtain the scholarship of among hundreds of contestants from 20 Arab and Islamic countries that are members of the Islamic Development Bank, referring to the importance of the specialties chosen by the winners, clarifying Palestine’s need to them as they would promote development.

Shtayyeh said that the  scholarship covers study expenses for a period of two years in a bank Member State institution, including tuition, living costs, and securing medical treatment, as well as clothes, books, computer, in addition to participation in conferences, plus research.

This annual program offers scholarships in the specializations required by the development in the Member States of the Islamic Development Bank and the least developed in the bank in order to obtain a master's degree «for two years» in the fields of science, engineering, technology and medical science in privileged global educational institutions.
