Shtayyeh Calls for Reopening the Three Bridges between the West Bank and Jordan

The President of the Palestinian Economic Council for Development and Reconstruction (PECDAR) and member of Central Committee of Fateh, Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh, demanded that the three bridges connecting between the West Bank and Jordan be reopened.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, Shtayyeh called for the reopening and development of Damia Bridge which connects between the north of the West Bank and Jordan, and King Abdullah Bridge which was destroyed in the 1967 War and had not been rebuilt since then.

He added that it is inconceivable for only one crossing to be Palestine’s gateway to the world, onto which Palestinians are forced to crowd in inappropriate conditions as they travel from and back to Palestine.
