He started his career by working in Qatar, before moving to the UAE. In Abu Dhabi, he held important governmental posts. And in the seventies, he became a freelancer and achieved a lot of success.
Harazeen is one of the most important businessmen in the Gulf States. He is the founder of one of the largest general trading companies in the UAE, which operates within different fields including petroleum, gas, petrochemicals and others.
He has been involved in several charitable activities and projects in Palestine since the nineties, the majority of which are in the fields of health and education. He contributed to the construction of the Sabha Al-Harazeen Medical Center, Ahlam Al-Harazeen School, Al-Harazeen Building in the Aqsa University, and the building of the Prisoners’ Rehabilitation Center located next to the Aqsa University. He also contributed to the finishing of the Al-Qubba Clinic and the central antenatal clinic in Al-Shuja’iyeh, whose funding was donated to the Gaza Zakat Society.
He also funded the mass wedding ceremonies in Gaza. He helped 25 couples by paying their wedding ceremony expenses and providing them with furniture and a certain amount of cash.
Harazeen visited the Gaza Strip in 1999 with a group of foreign investors in order to establish a large economic project that would employ hundreds of people. However, this dream did not come true because of the occupation and the obstacles placed by the blockade it imposes on the Gaza Strip.
Currently, he is planning to accompany another group of foreign investors in a visit to the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, at a time when the projects funded by him are about to be opened in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
One of the projects he is currently contributing to is the “Palestinian Academy for Gifted Students,” a boarding school that is to be constructed in Turmus Ayya near Ramallah. The Academy will include a group of gifted students from all of the Palestinian governorates to develop their talents and skills. It will be a model school in all aspects. It will target students in middle and secondary school.
Harazeen donated the expenses of the Academy’s main building, which he decided to name the “Matyr Yasser Arafat” building. The project is supervised by the Palestinian Economic Council for Development and Reconstruction “PECDAR” and a special Board of Trustees that was formed for this purpose and that is chaired by Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh.
