Sabih Al-Masri was born in Nablus in 1937. He earned his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas, in the USA, in 1963. He has a great reputation in the fields of economy and investment on a local, Arab, and international level. As an investor, he holds multiple citizenships including a Saudi Arabian and Lebanese citizenship.
He has held several important posts. He served as the Deputy to the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Palestine Investment Fund, the Chair of the Nomination Committee, and the chair of the Fund Investment Committee.
He established many investment, financial, and economic companies in Palestine and the region, such as the Arab Supply and Trading Corporation, the Zara Investment Holding Company, the Cairo Amman Bank, the Rum Agricultural Company, and PADICO. He is also the Chairman of Paltel Corporation, and the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Arab Bank. Moreover, he has founded the Palestine Securities Exchange (PSE).
Al-Masri served as the Chair of the PSE until the beginning of 2004. He has a long, varied, and unique experience in the fields of investment, finance, and management in economic, hotel, commerce, tourism, and real estate sectors.
Furthermore, Al-Masri has made several investments in Jordan, including a tourism project in the Aqaba City, consisting of eight tourist resorts surrounding small lakes, whose water derives from the Gulf of Aqaba, located next to the Red Sea, on the borders between Jordan and Palestine in the south.
