according to domestic survey carried by the Palestinian Central Beuru of Statistics, 49% of families indicated that the lack of internet at home prevented their children from participating in educational activities during the closure. while 22% of children did not participate because teachers did not implement educational activities. moreover, 13% of families indicated that their children did not participate due to the child's unwillingness to carry out education activities online.
The survey, concerned with measuring the impact of the (Covid-19) pandemic, on the social and economic conditions of Palestinian families on a household sample of 9,926 families, where the time reference for the data was the closure period extending from the fifth of March to the twenty-fifth of May From the year 2020
The statistics indicated in the survey that two out of 5 families assessed online (distant) education experience as bad and did not fulfill its purpose, as 40% of families whose children participated in any of the educational activities during the closure period assessed the experience as bad and did not fulfill its purpose, and 39% They assessed the experience as good and served its purpose, but there is room to improve the experience, and 21% assessed the experience as good and served its purpose.
