Public debt increases by 10 percent during the first half of 2020.

The Palestinian Government public debt increased to nearly 10.63 billion shekels, an increase of 10 percent compared to the end of last year.
Data from the Palestinian Ministry of Finance showed that the local debt amounted to about 6.164 billion shekels; 4.619 billion short-term and about 1.546 billion in long-term debts.
While the external debt amounted to about 4.456 billion shekels.
The increase in public debt comes with the government's inability to fulfil its obligations as a result of the Tax clearance crises and the Corona virus.
