Shtayyeh: The economy has started to recover ... and the government is working on economic recovery plans

Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said that there are signs of recovery for our economy in terms of the pace of the economic wheel turn or the volume of aid and loans granted, and that there is an increase in the rate of recovery of the sectors of agriculture, industry, construction, medicine and others.
He stressed that the government will focus its efforts on the economic issue, especially on issues related to creating job opportunities, re-launching infrastructure projects, and reviving specific economic sectors.
The Prime Minister stated that 9 million euros will be disbursed to support investment in industrial zones, and another 30 million dollars will be spent for unemployed workers, social affairs and women's role enhancement issues, and the first batch will be disbursed to workers affected by the pandemic in the middle of next month.
He added: The government complied with all tax refunds to farmers, and the first installment of them was paid to the tourism sector affected by the pandemic.
He pointed out that work is underway on a modern company law that will be presented to the council in partnership with the private sector within the next two weeks.
Shtayyeh stated that the Cabinet will discuss the procedures for enabling return to schools, and the 6/6 program to examine the sight of first-grade students and treat those in need, and will listen to the Ministry of Health report on "Corona", and another report from the Ministry of Finance about the expected expenditures and revenues for the current month.
