A grant of $ 250,000 from Novartis Pharma to support the “Palestine Calls You” campaign

 

The Swiss "Novartis Pharma" pharmaceutical company presented a grant of $ 250,000 to support the campaign "Palestine Calls You", which was launched by Al "Taawon" Foundation at the end of last March in response to the new situations with the spread of the "Corona" pandemic, corresponding to the Ministry of Health urgent action to support the health sector's readiness. Including Jerusalem Hospitals Network, and non-governmental institutions that deal with the epidemic. In addition to providing basic needs for food and health materials for families suffering from difficult living conditions, or that have lost their sources of income. In addition to supporting civil institutions that provide services, care and internal housing for the elderly and orphans in West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.

The grant comes from the high social responsibility of "Novartis Pharma", in order to meet the urgent needs and urgent health and medical needs of the Palestinian people, which increased due to the outbreak of the Corona virus "Covid-19", knowing that it provides similar assistance around the world.

The Director General of “Taawon” Yara Al-Salem expressed her happiness with this new partnership that was taken in response to the emerging situations with the spread of the Corona pandemic, stressing that al Taawon will seek to deepen this partnership in order to serve our society in all areas of relief, health and development, to enhance the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on his land .

Al-Salem thanked Novartis Pharma for their initiative in providing this support, noting that the campaign "Palestine Calls You" succeeded in providing nearly $ 6 million to support needy families and empower the health sector.

It is mentioned that the Welfare Association is an independent institution registered as a branch in Palestine.
