The Governor of the Palestinian Monetary Authority, Azzam Al Shawa, said that the total financial donations from banks and the Association of Banks to support the government and the health sector to confront the Corona virus amounted to 11 million shekels.

Al-Shawa praised the Palestinian banking sector, assumed its social responsibility, and dealt with high flexibility with the instructions of the Palestinian Monetary Authority to implement the state of emergency since the beginning of the health crisis, with the outbreak of the Corona virus in Palestine.

His Excellency the governor affirmed that the banking sector has proven under these difficult circumstances that the Palestinian nation is going through to be the main pillar of the Palestinian economy.

He called on the banking sector to take more initiatives that contribute to supporting the efforts of all state institutions and citizens to overcome this health crisis.
