Consumer prices decreased during February 2020 while maintaining an increase over February 2019.

Consumer prices decreased by less than 1% (0.07) during February 2020, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, compared to January 2020.
In Gaza, the decline was 0.37%, in Jerusalem 0.13%, while it increased slightly (0.04%) in the West Bank.
The main reason for the decrease in prices is due mainly to the decrease in the prices of fresh vegetables by 5.85%, the prices of tubers by 4.43%, and the prices of liquid fuels used as fuel for cars "gasoline" by 2.35%, despite the increase in the prices of dried vegetables by 14.58%, and the prices of Fresh fruits by 6.42%, and gas prices by 2.32%.
When comparing prices during February 2020 with February 2019, the result is a rise in consumer prices in Palestine by 1.24%; 3.59% in Jerusalem, 1.13% in the West Bank, and by 0.23% in Gaza.
