The Ministry of Health recommended the citizens not to travel abroad except for the necessary cases, in order to avoid infection with the "Covid 19" virus, known as "corona".
The ministry added in a press release issued today, Thursday, that it recommends avoiding travel to attend international conferences and meetings, in addition to refraining from holding international conferences in Palestine, for the present time.
The ministry also circulated the latest developments regarding the "Corona" virus, confirming that Palestine is free of this virus to date.
In its daily report on the virus, the ministry added that no cases of Covid 19 were diagnosed in Palestine, while 100 examinations of suspected samples of the virus have been carried out in the Central Public Health Laboratory since January 20, 2020 all came negative.
The ministry added that the medical teams conducted the second confirmatory examination of the quarantined citizens, who had come from China.
The ministry pointed out that the number of confirmed cases of contracting HIV 19 globally reached 81,109 cases, including 2918 recorded outside China (in 37 countries), and the number of deaths reached 2781 deaths in China, and 43 outside China, according to the report issued by the World Health Organization until the end of yesterday.
The ministry stressed that tourists and visitors from the following countries and regions are currently banned: China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Macau, Singapore, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Italy.
The Ministry also added that the quarantine will be applied to Palestinian citizens and visitors from the following countries and regions: China, South Korea, Malaysia, Japan, Macau, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, the Philippines, Iraq, and Italy. Where they will be subject to quarantine for a period of (14 days) starting from the last day they stayed in these countries and regions.
The Ministry of Health indicated that any amendments to these instructions will be circulated successively.
