Al-Maliki calls for updating the database of companies operating in the settlements.

Geneva - The Palestinian Economy Portal.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Maliki, called the High Commissioner for Human Rights, "Michel Bachelet", to continue its work to update the database of companies operating in the settlements, as the number exceeds what has been monitored.

Al-Maliki priced the report issued by the Commissioner containing the database of companies working with settlements, and its commitment to its mandate entrusted to it based on the decision of the Human Rights Council, which restores confidence in the international system, and gives partial justice that can be accumulated, to realize the rights of indigenous peoples And inalienable.

He considered that the commissioner's decision is consistent with international resolutions, including Security Council Resolution 2334, and the European Court of Justice, and comes as a direct response to the "Pompeo" declaration on settlements.

He praised the work of the Office of the High Commissioner and her team in Palestine, pointing out that Palestine submitted its reports to the human rights contractual mechanisms including the CEDAW report, the rights of the child, and the fight against racial discrimination, the prohibition of torture, and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Al-Maliki called "Bachelet" to visit Palestine, and look closely at the human rights conditions in it, pointing to the systematic and continuous violations against our people, and the frenzied campaign launched by the occupation against him after the "Deal of the Century" as a green light for more crimes.

In turn, Bachelet stressed that it monitors human rights around the world, and will not accept the policy of double standards for any country, including Palestine.

She indicated that she implemented her mandate to publish the list of companies operating in the settlements, because the position of international law is clear about the illegality of settlements, and that annexation is illegal and prohibited in accordance with international law.
