The European Union provides 70,000 euros to aid people affected by the cold spell.

The European Union said it has provided 70,000 euros in humanitarian funding to help the people worst affected by the cold spell in the harsh weather conditions.

In a statement issued today, Tuesday, the european union stated that this funding supports the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in providing relief and assistance in finding the shelter that affected families need, including tarpaulins, tents, mattresses and blankets, among many other materials.

Humanitarian aid will directly benefit 10,000 people who have been inundated, according to the statement, and will also provide the Red Crescent emergency teams with the necessary personal protective equipment (shoes and waterproof clothes) to ensure the safety of volunteers at work.

This funding comes within the framework of the European Union's total contribution to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Emergency Relief Fund.
