Palestine obtains a full membership with voting rights in WPO

Palestinian Minister of National Economy Khaled Al-Esaily said on Sunday that Palestine's full membership in the World Organization for Packaging (WPO) enhances the development of national products and enables them to penetrate more international markets, which reflects positively on national exports and diversify our markets.
Commenting on Palestine's accession to full membership during the voting held in Bali, Al-Esaily added, "Palestine's accession to this membership plays an important role in supporting the Palestinian government's strategy in supporting and developing the national product locally and internationally and benefiting from international fora specialized in developing the national economies."
The World Packaging Organization, an international non-governmental and non-profit association, was founded in 1968 in Tokyo, and comprises national packaging institutes and associations and serves the global packaging community.
It is worth mentioning that Palestine participates in the meeting of the Organization in Bali, Indonesia through the representative of the Ministry of National Economy Ibrahim Al-E’tyani and the representative of the Federation of Palestinian Industries, Ayman Sbeih, President of the Federation of Paper Industries and Packaging, through the program of modernization of industry PUMP, one of the programs of the Ministry of National Economy and funded by the French Agency AFD.
