US President Donald Trump said on Monday he would not rule out the announcement of "deal of the century" details ahead of Israel's September 17 Knesset elections.
The US president made the remarks on the G7 sidelines in France that will conclude on Monday afternoon, where Trump claimed that Israel would look happy to sign a peace agreement with the Palestinians.
The president believes the Palestinians will want a return to US funding and a peace deal.
On the tension with Tehran and the participation of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in the G7 summit, Trump said he had given Macron approval for Zarif's surprise visit to the G7 summit.
However, the US president said it was "too early to hold a meeting with the Iranian foreign minister," declaring that he was not seeking "regime change" in Iran.
On the trade war, Trump said: "Chinese officials have called to propose a return to the negotiating table, and he should start trade talks with China very soon."
In line with the US president's remarks, China's top negotiator said on Monday he was ready to continue talks with Washington to seek a trade deal despite a raging trade war between the two countries, a financial magazine reported.
"We are ready to settle the problem quietly through consultation and cooperation," Vice Premier Liu He said in a speech.
"We firmly oppose the escalation of the trade war," Liu said. "It is not in the interest of any of China, the United States and the people of the world."
The trade war between the world's top two economic powers intensified on Friday as China threatened to raise tariffs on annual imports of US products worth $ 75 billion.
Washington responded immediately by announcing a larger-than-planned increase in stiff tariffs on Chinese products, which will come into effect in September and then in December.
