The Hebrew media announced that the Israeli and Palestinian sides have reached an agreement to pay NIS 300 million from tax compensations and to formulate an agreement to regulate the supply of electricity to the Palestinians.

According to the Israeli website "Makan", it was agreed last night during a meeting of the Minister of Finance Shukri Bishara with the Coordinator Camille Abu Rokon, the Director-General of Israeli Finance Shai Babad and managers of the electricity company.

The Director General of the Israeli Finance decided to deduct 500 million shekels from Palestinian tax revenues to cover the debts of the electricity company, but the new agreement made the decision null and void.

In turn, Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki said that what was published about the deduction of Israel 300 million shekels of clearing money under the pretext of the debts of the electricity company, a subject that must be put before the international community to deal with.

Al-Maliki called on France to assume its responsibility as a state sponsor of the Paris Economic Agreement, stressing that these issues and files will come time to discuss them in detail and the international community, calling for the need for an international body to monitor and determine what is deductible.
