Palestine and Indonesia discuss national products exemption.

The Ministry of National Economy, stated on Sunday that its Indonesian counterpart has expressed its willingness to speed up customs clearance procedures for the list of Palestinian goods, similar to the decision to exempt from customs, which was granted to Palestine for dates and olive oil.

This came at the conclusion of a trade mission organized by the Ministry of National Economy in cooperation with PalTrade and representatives of the Palestinian Investment Promotion Authority, the Palestinian Industrial Cities and Areas Authority and the Union of Chambers of Commerce under the supervision of the Embassy of Palestine in Indonesia.

The Director of the Department of Trade Development at the Ministry of National Economy Jawad Al-Mu’ti described the Palestinian-Indonesian talks positive and fruitful in developing economic and trade cooperation relations between the two countries, especially in the field of exempting a list of Palestinian goods with export capacity to the Indonesian market of customs duties.

Al Mu’ti pointed out that the trade mission comes within the continuous efforts of the Ministry of National Economy in cooperation with partners in opening new markets, promoting Palestinian products in world markets and gradually disengaging from the Israeli occupation economy.

The talks, which were held in the presence of the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in the Republic of Indonesia Zuhair Al-Shan, focused on increasing the volume of Palestinian exports through promoting Palestinian exports in the Indonesian market and networking with all parties related to trade and investment.

It is worth mentioning that a delegation of Indonesian businessmen visited the Jericho industrial zone during the month of Jericho, during which he briefed him on the investment opportunities available and the visit of the Palestinian trade delegation to Indonesia to discuss aspects of joint cooperation. This is an indication of the strength and strength of the relationship between the two countries.
