Imports decreased by 4% in May 2019

Exports of May 2019 decreased by 1% compared to the previous month. As well as a 6% decrease compared to May 2018. Its value reached 89.7 Million USD.
While exports from other countries decreased by 33%, compared to the previous month, with a value of 8.1 million USD, PCBS mentioned in their report that the Israeli exports increased by 4% in May 2019 compared to the previous month. The Israeli exports made up 91% of the total value of exports for May 2019.
Imports also decreased by 4% in May 2019, compared to April 2019, and it decreased by 2% compared to May 2018. Its value reached 483.3 million USD.
Israeli imports have also decreased by 6% in May 2019, compared to the previous month. The Israeli imports have formed 57% of the total imports value.
Trade Balance of commodities
The trade balance; which forms the difference between the imports and exports, recorded a decrease in the value of the deficit by 5% in May 2019, compared to the previous month. It also decreased by 1% compared to May 2018, with a deficit of 393.6 million USD.
