“Ministry of Education” and the World Bank are looking to enhance their cooperation

Marwan Awartani, the minister of MoE, along with Kenneth Schenker, the director of the World Bank office in Palestine, are looking for enhancing cooperation in order to benefit the education sector.
Awartani assured the depth of the cooperation between the Ministry and the World Bank through supporting many projects and educational programs, in a meeting that occurred in his office in Ramallah. He calls for the importance of strengthening the state of sustainability and integration through these programs and through focusing on the areas and ideas that are in line with current requirements and contribute to the educational goals.
He also touched on the efforts that the Ministry, in cooperation with its partners, took in order to provide all the necessary resources to promote education and achieve a better future for the emerging generations.
Schenker affirmed that the World Bank is keen to develop an educational system, and exchanging mutual visions.
Both parties stressed on the importance of Palestine joining the Human Capital Index; as an important forum for discussion and cooperation in the coming period.
It is shown that the Ministry has executed many projects with the World Bank, their most recent project was about improving the preparation and qualification of the first four primary teachers in cooperation with Universities, which officially ended last month. They are preparing to start the Early Childhood project once the consultations on its design are completed.
