The Palestinian community, in Australia, pleaded the Arab countries to boycott the conference that the USA called for under the name of “Peace for Prosperity” which is supposed to be held in Bahrain. Australia called for that in accordance with the resolutions of the Arab summits, which affirm that the political solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict precedes normalization with the occupying Power.

In a statement that reached the Department of Expatriates Affairs of the PLO on Wednesday, the Community considered that the current American Administration’s purpose behind the conference is to begin implementing the "deal of the century" and forcing economical solutions instead of political ones; warning of the danger of Israel's economic, political and security integration in the region in light of its continued occupation of Palestinian and Arab territories.

The community praised the strong position of the Palestinian leadership that rejects all solutions that precede the political solution and the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital and the resolution of the issue of refugees, borders, water and security as a necessary prelude to ending the conflict with the occupation.

The community explained how proud it is with the position of states and personalities that announced their refusal to participate in the Manama Conference, as they are abiding by their commitment to the PLO, the legitimate and sole representative of the Palestinian people.

Our Palestinian community in Australia called for all the Palestinian communities worldwide to unite behind the official Palestinian cause and work on exposing American policies aimed at consolidating the occupation and opening the borders in front of it in order to control the capabilities and the good of the Arab nation.
