The Confederate of Palestine in Latin America and the Caribbean “Coplac” announced its absolute rejection and condemnation of the “Manama conference” which is set to occur at the end of June 2019 with an American invitation.
The Arab countries urged people not to participate in this American-Israeli maneuver which aims to remove Palestine from the map and works on liquidating the sacred rights of the Palestinian people.
In a statement for “Coplac” that reached the Department of Expatriates Affairs in the PLO, “Coplac” considered this American initiative is nothing but a new way to annihilate the Palestinian cause and to finish it. It is being done as a part of the “deal of the century” which aims to empty the Palestinian demands of its political content, to limit it to crumbs of economic aid and avoiding international law that calls for the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the resolutions of international legitimacy.
The statement explained that the Palestinian Cause is not economical and that the economical side of it resulted from the substance of the subject, which is the Israeli occupation and its consequences. Adding that the American plan is the embodiment of the policies and plans of the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, who presented these ideas previously through what is called an economical peace without admitting to the Palestinian demands and the Palestinian peoples’ national rights.
“Coplac,” representing the Palestinian communities in Latin America and the Caribbean, expressed its full and infinite support of the PLO; the only legitimate representative of our people, and the position of the Palestinian leadership not to participate in the Manama conference and not participating in the discussion regarding this plan that targets the rights of the Palestinian people and subjecting it completely and permanently to the apartheid regime under Israeli occupation and denying refugees the right to return to their homeland under the UN resolution 194.
