Palestine and India are looking to reinforce Economic Cooperation

Abeer Odeh, Minister of national economy, and Sunil Kumar, the new Indian ambassador in Palestine, searched on Sunday for ways to reinforce and develop economic and trade cooperation relationships between the two countries. They set appropriate mechanisms in order to increase the number of trade exchange and to form economic companies
The minister welcomed the ambassador and appreciated the constant support that India always gives to the Palestinians. Odeh explained to Kumar the ongoing economic situation, along with the effort that the Palestinian government is doing to improve the economic growth despite the policies and measures of the Israeli occupation that limit the possibility of real economic development.
Both sides pointed out, during the meeting that was held in the Ministry, the importance of hiring a Palestinian-Indian Technological Garden project through reinforcing the economy and motivating innovation, entrepreneurship, building technology in Palestinian universities, and achieving complementarity within the framework of the utilization of the areas and industrial cities of this project.
They assured the importance of accelerating the procedures for the implementation of a heritage project for the empowerment of women, because of its importance in the integration of women in the economic process.
The Indian ambassador confirmed the position of his country in supporting the Palestinian cause in various fields and their work to reinforce and develop economic cooperation relationships in accordance with the historical relations. Along with setting appropriate mechanisms in order to achieve that and move forward in joint projects because of their impact on improving economic development, and expressed appreciation for the recent completion of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry elections of Palestine.
