According to Haaretz “Israeli” newspaper in an article on Thursday the 22nd of November, the US administration will announce the closing of the USAID in 2019.

The article pointed out that the Israeli enterprise is afraid that Israel will be the one to pay the price of such a decision that comes in addition to the massive deductions seen in the budget for UNRWA and the deteriorating of the Humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli officials see that Israel is the one who is going to pay the security, economic and cultural prices as a result of this decision.

The US Department of State informed the organization that it has to lay off more than half of the employees in the upcoming weeks, a number that will reach approximately to 180 employees.
