The Richest 400 people in the world lost about 124 billion dollars with the recent declined caused by the sharp declines of the Chinese stocks.
The global sell-offs pushed the Standard and Poor’s 500 index for the first correction since about 4 years.
24 billionaires witnessed a decline in their fortunes by more than 10 points in one day, including Bill Gates; whose fortune declined by 3.2 billion dollars, Jeff Bizos CEO of Amazon and the 15th on Forbes list of billionaires, who lost around 2.6 billion dollars.
Mexicab Carlos Salim also lost 1.6 billion, whose fortune declined to its lowest level since the index started in 2012.
The Richest 400 people in the world lost about 128 billion dollars last week as well.
