Ramallah- An informed source told Palestine Economy Portal that Jawwal Telecommunication Company ended Yesterday, Wednesday, 80 of its employees’ contracts, and it is expected that several other dozens will be ended during the coming days; attributing the cause to unstable political conditions the country may suffer from during the coming months, amid talks of President Mahmoud Abbas’ resignation.

One of Jawwal employees, who wished for anonymity, said that the company has made an offer to its employees to resign in return of receiving 24 months’ salary, in addition to benefits, as part of a policy to reduce expenses, and with a deadline that ends on Thursday. Around 60 employees approved the offer, and registered their names to benefit from it.

Another employee said that he was officially notified of the need to accept the offer, and he approved in fear of abuse.
